I'm a Canadian freelance writer, blogger, and online marketing specialist with a career history in sales and purchasing in the Information Technology industry.
I worked in IT from 1991 until 2004 when I left for maternity leave. Despite my love for an insanely busy pace (I thrive under deadline!) and handling multi-million dollar deals, I decided to pursue my dream of developing my own business and spending more time with my family away from the busy city. I found something I could do that filled me with excitement and passion.
I currently write and consult from a lake front home in the Kawarthas of Ontario. Sturgeon Lake is famous for breathtaking sunsets and some of the best Pickerel fishing around. This creates an inspiring place to write and a happy place for my family.
An Extensive Professional Business Background
I spent my last ten years in business in professional roles working for a global conglomerate that is recognised as one of the most admired companies in the world. While employed there, I won numerous employee awards in sales, customer service and related to Six Sigma Quality.
I have a wealth of expertise in business from sales, purchasing and marketing perspectives with an extensive history in software licensing and project management.
Today, I enjoy writing most about business, health, writing, personal finance, the internet, marketing, entrepreneurism, and self-improvement but am well versed on many topics. I have several blogs and enjoy moderating several online communities.
I serve many regular clients in the areas of online consulting, search engine optimization, and marketing and I have done team leadership for a large UK writing agency that has many clients on a global basis and managed my own writing team as well. I work regularly for several clients in Canada, the U.S, the UK, Australia, the Caribbean, and other exotic places, including Mauritius. I am also a prolific blogger with many monetized websites of my own so not only do I write about internet marketing and achieving online success but I also put into practise the online strategies that I preach!
I feel fortunate that my career allows me to learn while I earn and continually absorbing new information as part of the writing process is a very rewarding part of my business. I love that
